Microsoft just announced a lot of new information and demonstrated the next generation of Windows for the first time in the BUILD2011 conference which is a new event that shows modern hardware and software developers how to take advantage of the future of Windows.

At BUILD, developers will learn all about the new and powerful app model (Metro Style Apps) that allows to create powerful new apps. Explore web-connected and web-powered apps built using HTML5 and JavaScript have access to the power of the PC. Touch-optimized browsing, with the full power of hardware-accelerated Internet Explorer 10 transforms your experiences with the web.

It is worth noting that Windows 8 apps use the power of HTML5 using CSS for their layout and style, and JavaScript for their functionality.

Go to channel9 to Watch the sessions and keynotes and have a sneak preview at the future of windows and windows development.

In order to start experimenting with the metro style app development, download the The Windows Developer Preview, which is a pre-beta version of Windows 8 for developers.
