Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) is here and it is now available as part of the newly released Windows 8.1 Preview.
IE11 similar to its predecessor is fast, fluid and perfect for touch and provides the best Web experience across the full range of Windows devices and screen sizes. IE11 builds on high performance and features of IE10 and offers better touch performance, faster page load times, a continuous browsing experience across the Windows devices. Additionally the new version of Internet Explorer introduced a completely rebuilt developer tools (F12).
IE11 is packed with new features such as allowing users to pin bookmarks to the Start screen and save them as live tiles, which means that you can embed live websites in your windows start screen.
The new browser brings goodness for web developers by offering support for WebGL , and it also supports the media streaming protocol MPEG-Dash (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) which is a protocol for high-quality video streaming over the Internet. Furthermore, IE11 is backward compatible and interoperable with existing sites, so the existing websites will continue to work and but only run faster and look better.
In summary, IE11 was built to be fast, responsive, and battery efficient, especially with touch.
